Ethiopia reports 552 new COVID19 cases, 15 deaths in 24hrs

Addis Ababa, August 7, 2020 (FBC) –The Ministry of Health today reported 552 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID 19) out of the 9,203 samples taken in the past 24 hours.

This takes the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 21, 452.

The Ministry also reported 15 COVID19-related deaths, bringing the death toll to 380.

A total of 388 patients have recovered from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 9, 415.

The number of active cases in Ethiopia now stands at 11, 655, of which 174 are in a severe condition. The country has so far conducted 478, 017 laboratory tests.
