Ethiopia reports 1,468 new COVID 19 cases, 23 deaths

Addis Ababa, August 31, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia yesterday reported 1,468 new cases and 23 deaths from the coronavirus (COVID19).

The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 51, 122. The death toll also reached 793.

The new cases were identified out of the 21,499 laboratory tests conducted in 24 hours.

Some 266 patients have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 18,382.

There are now 31,945 active cases, of which 344 are in a severe condition. The country has so far conducted 890, 929 laboratory tests.
