Ethiopia reports 1,173 new COVID 19 cases

Addis Ababa, September 2, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia yesterday reported 1,173 new cases and 19 deaths from the coronavirus (COVID19).

The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 53, 304, while the death toll rose to 828.

According to the daily report of the Ministry of Health, the new cases were identified out of 18,160 laboratory tests conducted in 24 hours.

Some 493 patients have recovered from the virus, taking the total number of recoveries to 19,487.

The country has so far conducted 928, 453 laboratory tests.
