Ethiopia registers meaningful results in reduction of road traffic accidents: Transport Minister

Addis Ababa, August 9, 2022 (FBC) – The Transport and Logistics Minister, Dagmawit Moges participated at a panel discussion held in Belgium Brussels as part of the European Development Days 2022 under the theme “Safe and Green Mobility In a low-and middle-income countries.”

On the occasion, Dagmawit said that Ethiopia has ratified UN road traffic convention and AU road safety charter hence country’s National road safety strategy is in line with the UN’s Decade of action. 

The Minister underlined that meaningful results in the reduction of road traffic accidents are being achieved in Ethiopa.

Also highlighted the progress Ethiopia has made in implementing non-motorized transport as well as decarbonization.
