Ethiopia records highest daily rise in new coronavirus cases, reports 11 deaths

Addis Ababa, July 31, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia has recorded highest daily rise in new coronavirus cases as the ministry of health today reported 915 more infections.

Lia Tadesse, Minister of Health said 915 peole have diagnosed positive out of 8, 957 laboratory tests conducted over the last twenty four hours.

She said 11 patients have died from the virus taking the total death toll to 274.

Some 187 people have recovered from the disease bringing number of recoveries in to 6,959 in the country.

 There are currently 10, 304 active cases in the country our of which 138 are in severe conditions, according to Ministry of Health.
