Ethiopia records 30 new COVID 19 cases, 14 recoveries
Addis Ababa, May 25, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia has recorded 30 more COVID-19 cases out of the 4, 352 laboratory tests conducted in the past 24 hours.
Out of the cases, 22 are male and 8 are female, with the youngest being 9 years old and oldest 60 years, according to the Ministry of Health.
Out of the new cases, 15 are from Addis Ababa, two from Tigray, 8 from Amhara, one from Oromia, and three from Harari regional states. The remaining one case is a truck driver.
According to the statement, 11 of the cases have travel history from abroad, 5 having contact with confirmed cases, and the remaining 14 have neither travel history nor known contact traces.
Fourteen people have also recovered from the virus, taking the total number of recoveries to 181.
Ethiopia has recorded 731 confirmed cases, with 6 deaths so far. The country’s total test count currently stands at 91,616.
