Ethiopia recognized for adopting of historic Animal Welfare resolution

Addis Ababa, May 20, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia has been recognized for the leadership towards the adoption of the historic Animal Welfare – Environment – Sustainable Development Nexus Resolution adopted by the fifth United Nations Environment Assembly held in Kenya in March, 2022.

The move is seen as historic and, potentially, a catalyst for widespread governmental action to protect animals and, by proxy, the environment.

Ethiopia has so far placed environment protection at the heart of its green development endeavors.
