Ethiopia procures new port equipment with over €901,000
Addis Ababa, February 2, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Shipping and Logistic Services Enterprises has announced procurement of new port equipment at a cost of 901,814 Euros.
The procurement is tailored for transforming logistics services at Modjo Dry Port and Terminal which takes the lion’s share in the sector.
It is also said the new equipment will add impetus to the existing port machineries in the port. Machineries procured include 8 terminal tractors and 11 terminal Challises, the enterprise indicated.
The enterprise further stated that it has made ready 48 additional port machineries it bought with a budget secured from World Bank for operation.
According to the enterprises, the machineries would help speed up the loading and unloading of imprt-export goods at Modjo Dry Port and lifting of goods from Ethio-Djbouti Rail way to the dry port and vice versa.
