Ethiopia prioritizes human resource dev’t to beef up diplomacy
Addis Ababa, November 27, 2022 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Demeke Mekonnen stated that the Government of Ethiopia has given due attention to human resource development to beef up diplomatic efforts.
Demeke made the statement while addressing a closing session of the three week training offered to Foreign Affairs Ministry staff and diplomats.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Affairs Minister urged diplomats to upgrade their capacity and skills to defend the national interest of Ethiopia and maintain its diplomatic influence in the face of the complicated global situation and unpredictable and varied interests in the international relations and diplomatic spheres.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to build on Ethiopia’s diplomatic participation in the continent, pledging enhanced capacity building strides.
