Ethiopia preparing to host Preparatory Conference for 4th UN Financing Summit in June – FM
Addis Ababa, April 24, 2024 (FBC) – Foreign Minister Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie reaffirmed Ethiopia’s steadfast commitment to hosting the preparatory conference for the 4th UN Conference on Financing for Development in collaboration with the United Nations.
This affirmation came during his meeting with Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the UN, in Addis Ababa.
The two officials engaged in a substantive exchange of perspectives on the multifaceted partnership and priorities shared between Ethiopia and the UN.
They also deliberated on the status of Sustainable Development Goals implementation, the upcoming UN Summit of the Future, and recent developments in the Horn of Africa region.
The preparatory conference, scheduled for July 2024, represents a crucial step in the lead-up to the 4th UN International Conference on Financing for Development.
