Ethiopia Peace Corps delegation vows to bring diaspora community together
Addis Ababa, August 10, 2021 (FBC) – Chairperson of the Ethiopian Peace Corps delegation led by Professor Biruk Hailu Beshah has briefed the media today on the activities the delegate has carried out during the last three weeks in line with the current situation in the country.
During the briefing session, the Chairperson said the delegate will work hard to eliminate distrust among members of the diaspora community and bring Ethiopians living in all corners of the world together towards shared national agenda.
The delegation is established with a view to serve as the bridge between the diaspora community and the Ethiopian government, Professor Biruk explained.
He indicated that the delegation is a syndicate of 13 civic society organizations that are working to socio economic challenges in Ethiopia thereby promote wellbeing of the nation.
Peace Corps Delegation visited displaced in Artuma Fursi Woreda, Dimtu Cherkosa Camp, Konso Gelebo Camp and Derashe Special Woreda Gatto Localty Camp and contributed support of clothing and sanitation supplies, he elaborated.
