Ethiopia participating in CIIE in Shanghai
Addis Ababa, November 5, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia is actively participating in the ongoing China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.
This global event, which brings together representatives from 77 countries and international organizations, provides a platform for nations to showcase their products, explore new markets, and foster economic cooperation.
Approximately 30 Ethiopian companies are among the 3,500 participants from around the world. They are showcasing a diverse range of products, including high-quality coffee, spices, textiles, and agricultural products. This year’s expo offers a unique opportunity for Ethiopian businesses to tap into the vast Chinese market and expand their global reach.
Beyond trade and investment, the CIIE also aims to strengthen cultural exchanges and people-to-people connections. Ethiopia is using this platform to promote its rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and stunning natural beauty.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the importance of mutual peace and development for global harmony. He highlighted China’s commitment to opening its market, particularly to developing countries like Ethiopia.
