Ethiopia partakes in World Tourism Cities Federation Summit in China

Addis Ababa, May 10, 2023 (FBC) – Ambassador Tefera Derbew, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the People’s Republic of China, has participated at the World Tourism Cities Federation Summit hosted by Changsha city (Hunan),China.

Prior to the launching of the ceremony, Ambassador Tefera, along with other ambassadors, held discussions with Shen Xiaoming, the communist party secretary of Hunan on issues of mutual interest and concern.

On the sideline of the summit, Ambassador Tefera also joined the Forum of Ambassadors organized by Changsha City.

On the forum Ambassador Tefera has delivered a detailed presentation on the peoples of Ethiopia and the development of tourism industry in the country.

He also mentioned the government’s due attention to revamping and constructing new tourism sites across the country.

“Ethiopia is the land of origin, the source of the Nile River, and the birthplace of coffee”, Ambassador Tefera has stated pointing out some sites of tourism in the country.
