Ethiopia, Pakistan to sign MoU in Agricultural Sector

Addis Ababa, August 28, 2020 (FBC) – Pakistan Ministry for National Food security and Research stated on Thursday that Agricultural Research Council will sign MoU with Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research to further deepen cooperation in the sector.

National Food security and Research Minister of Pakistan, Syed Fakhr Imam remarked the signing of the MoU will be held as soon as internal formalities from the Pakistan side are completed.

Syed Fakhr Imam noted that Pakistan will extend assistance to Ethiopian side in the many areas which include honey bee management and value addition, poultry production and processing as per the MoU.

Based on the agreement to be signed, Ethiopia and Pakistan will assist Ethiopia in developing and fabricating agricultural machinery and farm implements, livestock breed improvement, rehabilitation of degraded lands and conservation of biodiversity.
