Ethiopia on track to achieve food security, become Africa’s breadbasket: PM Office

Addis Ababa, December 3, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia is at work striving to achieve food security and unlocking its vast potential to become Africa’s breadbasket, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.

This vision is built on the relentless dedication of its smallholder farmers, who form the backbone of the nation’s agriculture, and the forward-thinking leadership driving policies for sustainable growth, the office noted.

The country has been registering impressive achievements in the agricultural sector notably in wheat production that enabled it substitute import.

This achievement has also received global acclamation that should be replicated in other parts of African countries.
