Ethiopia offers FDI opportunities in various sectors
Addis Ababa, March 27, 2021 (FBC) – The Ethiopian embassy in Doha, in collaboration with KON Group, is organising the ‘Ethiopia Digital Workshop’ slated on March 29 to attract Qatari foreign direct investments (FDIs) in the East African nation’s manufacturing, agriculture, mining, commerce, and hospitality and tourism sectors.
The workshop is part of KON Group’s diplomatic vision in connecting business, cultures and nations, according to Gulf Times.
The group is striving and working hard in building successful alliances between companies with highest ethical standards.
Ethiopia is one of the fastest growing economies in the world with 70% of the productive population, educated, and trained workforce. With a prosperous and dynamic Ethiopian market, the country is promoting trade and investment to attract FDI to boost exports and generate employment.
The Ethiopian government offers incentives in different segments, bids, income tax exemption up to 10 years, corporate income tax exemption with additional two to four years exemption depending on sector of engagement.
It also offers 30% deduction for three consecutive years in the underdeveloped regions, additional of two years tax exemption of 60% for exportation within and outside the industrial parks.
