Ethiopia, Namibia sign MoU to increase cooperation in diplomacy, establish political consultation
Addis Ababa, July 15, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Namibia have signed MoU to increase cooperation in area of diplomacy and establish joint political consultation forum.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Demeke Mekonen and his Namibian counterpart, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah have signed the MoU on behalf of their respective countries.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister stated that Ethiopia had supported the anti-Apartheid struggle of Namibians, and the diplomatic relations between the two countries has been growing since Namibia declared its independence.
“The agreement would help the two countries boost their historical relationship in multifaceted areas of cooperation,” Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
