Ethiopia, Morocco discuss cooperation on renewable energy

Addis Ababa, December 6, 2023 (FBC) – The Water and Energy Minister of Ethiopia, Habtamu Itefa (PhD), discussed with Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Minister of Morocco, Leila Benali on ways of building mutual cooperation in the renewable energy sector.

The two ministers have exchanged experiences their countries have in the utilization of renewable energy potentials and explored ways how to cooperate in this area.

Habtamu also complimented the Moroccan government for its continued capacity building support to the Ethiopian Water Technology Institute.

The Water and Energy Minister further called on Moroccan business people to invest in Ethiopia particularly in the renewable energy market.
