Ethiopia looking forward to working closely with new Brazilian gov’t to elevate partnership
Addis Ababa, January 2, 2023 (FBC) – The FDRE Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia (MFA Ethiopia) stated that the Ethiopian government is anticipating to working closely in cooperation with the Brazilian government to elevate the bilateral partnership to a new height.
The Ministry, on behalf of the Ethiopian government extended congratulatory message to the new president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, on his swearing-in ceremony held on Sunday.
77-year-old Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was sworn in as Brazil’s president on the first day of 2023 in the capital Brasilia to assume office for the third time replacing the outgoing Jair Bolsonaro.
Following the inauguration, MFA Ethiopia extended its best wishes to Lula da Silva and his Vice-President Geraldo José Rodrigues Alckmin Filho as they take the throne to lead Terra do Brasil for the next four years.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia warmly congratulates President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Vice-President Geraldo José Rodrigues Alckmin Filho on their swearing-in ceremony held today during the Presidential Inauguration,” the statement from the Ministry reads.
“The Ministry, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, looks forward to working with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and his administration to elevate the Ethiopia-Brazil partnership to a new height to the benefit of the two countries and peoples,” MFA Ethiopia stressed.
