Ethiopia-Kenya joint ministerial commission meeting kicks off in Addis
Addis Ababa, February 19, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethiopia-Kenya Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting began today in Addis Ababa after a seven-year hiatus due to a variety of reasons.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Fiseha Shawel, Director General of African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, stated that the meeting will help to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
He stated that the commission has helped to resolve outstanding bilateral and regional issues while also improving each country’s political, economic, and social interaction.
Ambassador Moi Limoshira, head of the Kenyan delegation praised the long-standing positive relations between the two countries.
The commission will discuss common agenda items, such as political, economic, and social issues, during its three-day meeting, per MFA Ethiopia.
