Ethiopia, Kenya ink agreement to jointly combat cross-border security threats

Addis Ababa, March 9, 2023 (FBC) – Senior Ethiopian delegation, headed by Birtukan Ayano, State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, convened a meeting with Kenyan counterpart on Wednesday in Nairobi.

Both sides deliberated on a range of issues pertaining to security, Ethiopian Ambassador to Kenya, Bacha Debele, confirmed today via twitter.

The two countries reached an understanding on the urgency and sensitivity of the security threats along their common border.

At the end of the Ethiopia-Kenya Cross Border Security Consultation, the officials signed an outcome document to jointly combat the threat posed along the border areas.
