Ethiopia keen to establish sister city, technology transfer cooperation with Atlanta

Addis Ababa February 14, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to the USA Seleshi Bekele, has met with Vanessa Ibarra, Executive Director of International and Immigrant Affairs, Mayor’s Office of Atlanta.

According to the Ethiopian embassy in U.S during the meeting Ambassador Seleshi mentioned Ethiopia’s interest in establishing deeper connections with Atlanta in university, sister city twining and technology transfer.

The Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Atlanta Vanessa Ibarra on her part applauded the January 18, 2023 decision of connecting Atlanta with Africa and beyond by Ethiopian airlines.

Samson Arega, USA Regional Director of Ethiopian airlines said on the occasion said that the operation of the new destination to Atlanta by Ethiopian will start next May.

In its recent release Ethiopian airlines welcomes Atlanta to its Network to commence a new service between Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Atlanta, USA.

Ethiopian will operate a four times weekly flight to Atlanta (ATL) starting from 16 May 2023.
