Ethiopia, Italy discuss ways of deepening economic cooperation

Addis Ababa March 11, 2023 (FBC) – State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, met on Friday with Italy’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Agostino Palese, and the two discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Mesganu appreciated the longstanding diplomatic relationship and development cooperation between Ethiopia and Italy.

He also applauded the support of the ambassador during the difficult time in Ethiopia and for organizing the recent high-level visit that was led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to Italy.

Both sides noted that it is high time to deepen the economic cooperation between the two countries by increasing the volume of imports and exports, strengthening manufacturing capacity, and facilitating knowledge transfer.
