Ethiopia, Italy discuss to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation
Addis Ababa, December 16, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Italy have held discussion to enhance bilateral cooperation, confirmed the Ethiopian Embassy in Rome.
Ethiopia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative to FAO, WFP and IFAD in Italy, Demitu Hambisa, participated in the annual conference of Confindustria Assafrica and Mediterraneo, an association that represents and supports Italian companies with business interests in Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East countries.
The theme of the conference was “The Rhythm of Africa and the Middle East Strategy; Trends to 2030.”
The discussion mainly focused on the strategy for partnerships among the European Union, Africa, and the Middle East to tackle challenges like climate change, war, terrorism, migration, and others.
On the sidelines of the conference, Ambassador Demitu met with Antonio Tajani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy on Thursday, and discussed bilateral cooperation, as per the Embassy.
