Ethiopia, Israel mull cooperation in culture, art sectors

Addis Ababa, July 29, 2022 (FBC) – The Culture and Sports Minister Kejela Merdasa and Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia, Aleligne Admasu  have discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between Ethiopia and Israel.

During the discussion, Kejela said that peoples of Ethiopia and Israel are interwoven in blood and history, stressing need to bolster such a ties in multifacted areas of partnership.

Ambassador Aleligne, for his part, expressed need to establish a cultural center in Addis Ababa to help Ethiopian Jews in Israel know about culture and history of the country of their origion, Ethiopia.

Finally, the two sides have reached an agreement to sign MoU for cooperation in sports, culture and art sectors.
