Ethiopia is in a better position to restore law and order soon: Bangladeshi Ambassador
Addis Ababa, December 13, 2021 (FBC) – In an exclusive interview with FBC, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Ethiopia, Md Nazrul Islam said that Ethiopia is in a better position to restore law and order soon.
Appreciating the role Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is playing at frontline to restore law and order, the Ambassador noted that the situation all over Ethiopia will be normal within short period of time.
Saying that Bangladesh and Ethiopia have longstanding and historical relationships since 15th century, the Ambassador affirmed commitment to play his part to reinvigorate such the ties between the two countries.
Bangladesh is ready to forge strong cooperation with Ethiopia in several areas of cooperation including agriculture, military cooperation and people to people relationships. He also added that Bangladesh is interested to strengthen trade and investment ties with Ethiopia.
Ambassador Islam said his country is committed to share its immense experiences in the agricultural, pharmaceuticals, garment and peace and security sectors.
Regarding peace and security in Ethiopia, the Ambassador said that Addis Ababa is peaceful and business is as usual in the capital and the environs at large despite the fake news and disinformation being circulating by various western media.
