Ethiopia, India reach partnership agreement in areas of science, technology and innovation

Addis Ababa, July 28, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia and India have agreed to work in collaboration in science, technology and innovation sectors.

Innovation and Technology State Minister, Beyisa Bedada (PhD) received an Indian delegation comprising leaders of science, technology and innovation institutions.

The two sides have explored ways of establishing close partnership between institutions of the two countries working in science and technology fields, and reached an agreement to accordingly.

It is stated on the occasion that India is providing Burayu Innovation and Technology Talent Academy with professionals and other technical supports, and assisting efforts of Ethiopia in creating enabling environment for innovation.

Further areas of cooperation in areas of tech startups and technology incubations, capacity building, science and technology and innovation sectors have also been covered in the discussion.
