Ethiopia imports fertilizer for upcoming harvest season

Addis Ababa, January 8, 2020 (FBC) –Preparations have been finalized to import fertilizer for the 2020 harvest season, said the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise.

The first ship carrying 50,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer from Egypt’s Adabiya port arrived yesterday at the Port of Djibouti.

Two other ships from Morocco’s Jorf Lasfar port will also arrive in Djibouti next week, the Enterprise said.

The fertilizer will be lifted from the port of Djibouti as soon as possible, it said.
