Ethiopia has huge potential as pharmaceutical investment destination: Amb
Addis Ababa, February 9, 2021 (FBC) –Ethiopian Ambassador to Algeria, Nebiat Getachew, has held discussion with Dr. Abdelhamid Cherfaoui, President of Frater-Razes, Algerian based pharmaceutical company.
In the discussion aimed at encouraging the company to invest in Ethiopia, Ambassador Nebiat briefed the President about Ethiopia’s favourable investment climate.
Stating that pharmaceutical is one of the sectors given priority by Ethiopia, he told Dr. Abdelhamid Cherfaoui about Ethiopia’s huge potential as a pharmaceutical investment destination and the various incentives being given by the government.
In addition to the huge market opportunities available in the country, investors could benefit from Ethiopia’s strategic location to markets of various countries, including COMESA, EBA, and AGOA opportunities.
President and owner of the company, Dr. Abdelhamid Cherfaoui, commended Ethiopia’s efforts to advance the growth of the pharmaceutical industry.
The company will send a team to Ethiopia soon to explore the pharmaceutical opportunities and hold discussion with relevant bodies.
