Ethiopia, Germany to start second round joint ministerial commission
Addis Ababa, October 23, 2020 (FBC) – High Officials from Ethiopia and Germany met virtually yesterday to kick off the second round Joint Ministerial Commission of the two countries.
According to German Embassy in Addis Ababa, the working group “Foreign Policy and Security” discussed, amongst others, the bilateral relations between Ethiopian and Germany, regional issues both in Europe and the Horn of Africa, and the commitment of the two countries to the alliance for multilateralism.
Other working groups will follow within the coming two weeks to strengthen the Ethio-German cooperation in various fields, such as “Economic Affairs” and “Social Development”, the embassy said on facebook.
It is to be recalled that Ethiopia and Germany launched a two-day expert level meeting on January 28, 2020 this year in preparation for the first Joint Ministerial Commission.
