Ethiopia eyes enhanced partnership with IAEA in health sector

Addis Ababa, March 14, 2023 (FBC) – Minister of Health, Lia Taddese, held a productive discussion with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Deputy Director General for IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme, Mr. Hua Liu.

The Minister confirmed that she had a fruitful discussion with the IAEA Deputy Director General on enhancing cancer care by expanding radiotherapy services, establishing nuclear medicine services, building HR capacity, and more, including the support to conduct a national assessment of cancer care.

She thanked IAEA for the support and partnership with the government of Ethiopia in building the capacity to improve access to quality cancer care in Ethiopia.
