Ethiopia extends voters’ registration deadline by a week

Addis Ababa, May 7, 2021 (FBC) –The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has extended voters’ registration deadline by a week.

According to the electoral calendar of the board, voters’ registration for the upcoming 6tth general election was initially scheduled to end today.

As of last Tuesday, more than 28.7 million voters were registered to vote, NEBE said in a statement today.

Voters’ registration is currently taking place in 41, 798 polling stations.
