Ethiopia expands its airspace to 97pct

Addis Ababa, May 26, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopia has managed to expand its airspace to 97 percent, Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority Director General Colonel Wosenyeleh Hunegnaw said.

The use of up to date airspace safety control technologies has been playing pivotal role in ensuring Air Traffic Security of the air transport sector, he said.

Colonel Wosenyeleh added that the Civil Aviation Authority has developed a capacity to control airspaces of neighboring countries besides ensuring nations flight safety.

Authority is also making money out of the training schemes it has facilitated for foreign trainers from several world countries, he added.
