Ethiopia donates 10 tonnes of medical supplies to flood affected Somalis
Addis Ababa, January 3, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia has sent a medical team and 10 tonnes of medical supplies to help Somalis affected by floods in Beledweyne zone, Shabelle region, last week.
Jemaludin Mustefa, Special Envoy and Ambassador of Ethiopia to Somalia, handed over the medical supplies to the Zonal administrator in the presence of President of Hirshabelle State and heads of Ethiopian troops serving under AMISOM.
After expressing his sympathy, Ammbassador Jemaludin, said the Government would provide support to rehabilitate all those affected by the floods.
On behalf of the people and government of Somalia, Mohamed Abdi Ware, President of HirShabelle state for his part thanked the Government of Ethiopia for the emergency aid.
He also commended Ethiopian troops serving under AMISOM for their efforts to help those affected by floods, in addition maintaining peace in the state.
