Ethiopia Day celebrated on the margins of Expo 2020 Dubai

Addis Ababa, March 2, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopia Day has been celebrated with various events on the margions Expo 2020 Dubai in the presence of several high level government officials, members of the Ethiopian Diaspora Community and officials of the Expo.

Spokesperson of the House of Peoples Representatives, Tagesse Chaffo, addressing participants, said that Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates have longstanding historical relations that traces back to centuries.

He said the Expo has a paramount significance to enhance the relationship between Ethiopia and UAE in the trade and investment sector.

Opportunities in Ethiopia in the trade, investment and tourism sectors have been well promoted on the festival.

The speaker said the two countries have signed agreements at leaders level in order to cement ties in citizen centered engagements and multifaceted development sectors.

An Ethiopian troupe from the National Theatre has staged traditional dances and other cultural events on the festival.
