Ethiopia, Croatia agree to strengthen bilateral relations

Addis Ababa, May 11, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Croatia conducted the first ever bilateral consultations yesterday at the level of the Director Generals of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

Ambassador Zenebe Kebede and Petar Mihatov co-chaired the consultation representing Ethiopia and Croatia respectively.

Cooperation in the trade of specialty Ethiopian coffee and leather garments was highlighted.

Finally, the representatives agreed to further strengthen the relationship and elevate the bilateral talks with inclusion of relevant Government Ministries.

Ambassador Zenebe Kebede welcomed Croatia’s decision to open an embassy in Addis Ababa and highlighted Ethiopia’s unique role in securing peace and stability in the region.
