Ethiopia Confirms 88 More COVID 19 Cases
Addis Ababa, May 24, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia has confirmed 88 more COVID 19 cases out of 4,048 samples tested over the last twenty four hours, Ministry of Health disclosed.
All the new cases are Ethiopians their age range from 8 to 75 years old, and 51 of them are male and the remaining 37 are female, the Ministry disclosed.
Among the total new cases, 73 are indentified from Addis Ababa, and 19 out of them have contact with confirmed cases while the remaining 53 without contact with confirmed cases and travel history, and 1 with a travel history, the Ministry indicated.
According to the Ministry, 8 of the new cases are from Tigray region all of them have travel history, and 4 from Oromiya region out of them two have travel history and the remaining without contact and history.
And an individual from Harari Region who have a contact confirmed case contracted the virus, it is indicated.
The remaining two cases are cross-border truck drivers, the ministry discloses.
The total number of confirmed cases in Ethiopia has increased to 582
