Ethiopia confirms 564 new cases, 9 deaths from COVID 19 in 24 hrs

Addis Ababa, August 6, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia has confirmed 564 new cases and 9 deaths from COVID 19 over the last twenty four hours.

Ministry of Health stated that the number of confirmed in the county has reached 20,900 as the nation report 564 new cases over the last twenty four hours.

The ministry said the new cases have been confirmed out of 9,068 laboratory tests conducted over the last day in several laboratories across the nation.

The new 9 deaths have also brought the total number of fatalities in to 365, according to the ministry.

The Health Minister, Dr. Lia Tadesse said 429 patients have recovered from the disease inceasing total recoveries to 9,027 over the last months.

There are currently 11,506 active cases in the country out of which 170 are in severe condition.

Ethiopia has so far conducted 468, 814 laboratory tests.
