Ethiopia confirms 11 new COVID-19 cases
Addis Ababa, May 11, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia has reported 11 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 250.
The new cases were identified out of the 1,764 samples tested during the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
All the confirmed cases are Ethiopian nationals from 18-38 years of age, it added.
Of the identified cases, five are from Addis Ababa, two from Tigray, three from Afar and one from Oromia regional states.
Six patients have also recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 105.
Ethiopia has so far conducted 36, 624 laboratory tests and reported five deaths from the virus.
