Ethiopia confirmed coronavirus cases near 77,000

Addis Ababa, October 3, 2020 (FBC) – Confirmed Coronaviurs cases in Ethiopia have reached 76,988 after the Ministry of Health reported additional 890 infections on Friday.

According to Ministry of Health, the new infections have been detected out of 6,916 laboratory tests.

The death toll also reached 1,208 after 3 patients succumbed to the virus in twenty four hours.

Additional 247 patients have recovered from the virus and took number of recoveries in to 31,677.

There are currently 44,101 active cases in the country of which 296 are in severe condition.

The country has so far conducted 1,285,743 laboratory tests over the last months.
