Ethiopian Commercial Bank FC promoted to the Ethiopian Premier League

Addis Ababa, May 19, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Commercial Bank Football club has returned to the Ethiopian Premier League thanks to the 2-1 defeat of second-placed Bench Maji Buna by Addis Sub-City FC.

Ethiopian Commercial Bank spent six seasons in the country’s second tier of club football competition before returning to the Ethiopian Premier League.

One of the well-known clubs in Ethiopian Premier League history, Ethiopian Commercial Bank FC has faced the risk of liquidation after being relegated from the Premier League in 2017. After buying ECWC two years ago, the club has been competing in the second division before returning the Premier League by topping the table.
