Ethiopia commends Croatia’s decision to open its mission in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, September 20, 2023 (FBC) – Demeke Mekonnen, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, conferred with his Croatian counterpart, Gordon Grlic, today in New York.

Both foreign ministers who are attending the 78th UNGA in New York have agreed to take the diplomatic partnership to the next level by establishing a Joint Ministerial Commission.

Demeke briefed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia about the peace-building efforts in Ethiopia and commended the former for its decision to open Embassy in Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia is committed to strengthening cooperation with Croatia on mutually important regional and global issues, Demeke stated.

The Croatian Foreign Minister also expressed his government’s commitment to support Ethiopia.
