Ethiopia, China sign financial support agreement worth 1.22bln birr
Addis Ababa, February 14, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia and China have signed a 1.22 billion birr financial support agreement. The financial support is said to be used for Addis Ababa light rail transit service.
It is said that the Addis Ababa light rail transit company will ease the financial problems and provide efficient services to the community.
The information from the Ministry of Finance indicates that the financial support agreement was signed in accordance with the economic and technical cooperation agreement signed two years ago between the governments of China and Ethiopia.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide on behalf of the Ethiopian government and Ambassador Zhao Zhiyuan, on behalf of the Chinese government.
