Ethiopia, Brazil discuss avenues to enhance cooperation in agriculture

Addis Ababa, March 18, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Agriculture Mr Girma Amente and Ambassador of Brazil to Ethiopia Mr. Jandyr Ferreira Dos Santos met today in Addis Ababa at the former’s office to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation in agriculture sector.

During the discussion, the minister and the ambassador exchanged views on soil fertility and health care, agricultural mechanization and agricultural products export trading. They also agreed to work more closely on these domains in the future.

In view of Ethiopia being the champion of the “Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty” board as well as a member of BRICS+, they also discussed the favorable conditions for working together more in the agricultural sector in the future.
