Ethiopia, Azerbaijan discuss mechanisms of forging closer B2B ties
Addis Ababa, July 8, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, met with Deputy Minister of Economy and Chairman of Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBiA) of Azerbaijan, Sahib Mammadov and Orkhan Mammadov, respectively, on Friday (7 July).
They discussed mechanisms of promoting trade and investment parallel to forging closer business-to-business ties that will ultimately boost wider economic relations between Ethiopia and Azerbaijan.
On the other hand, Minister of State Mesganu Arga today held a fruitful discussion with the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Ramiz oglu Mehdiyev.
The primary focus of their discussion was to explore best practices and experiences in public service delivery, with the aim of emulating them in Ethiopia.
Similarly, the State Minister paid a visit to the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) adjacent to Baku and conferred with the Chairman of the Board of AFEZ Authority, Valeh Alasgarov.
The meeting provided ample opportunity to explore best practices on how a high value-added export-oriented manufacturing hub can boost competitiveness of the economy, as per MFA Ethiopia.
