Ethiopia, Armenia seek to deepen diplomatic ties through joint training initiatives
Addis Ababa, March 29, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Armenia have demonstrated their willingness to collaborate in enhancing diplomatic capacity through training and research initiatives aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge of their diplomats.
This story emerged following a meeting today between Mr. Jafar Bedru, the Executive Director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA), and Sahak Sargsyan, the Ambassador of Armenia to Ethiopia.
During the meeting, the two parties engaged in discussions regarding the potential cooperation in research and training development between the IFA and a pertinent institution in Armenia.
Executive Director Jafar expressed IFA’s strong desire in collaborating with the Diplomatic School of the Republic of Armenia to organize joint research conferences.
On his part, Ambassador Sargsyan affirmed that the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia is keen on partnering with IFA for joint research initiatives and in providing support to the diplomatic training division through diverse avenues.
Subsequently, both parties reached a consensus to conduct diverse diplomatic capacity-building training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of diplomats from both countries through rigorous and advanced diplomatic training initiatives.
