Ethiopia anticipates enhancing capacity to develop SAF

Addis Ababa, May 26, 2023 (FBC) – Hirut Zemene, Ethiopia’s ambassador to the Benelux countries and EU institutions, took part in the launching event of Assistance Capacity-building Training (ACT)-Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) program, at the European Union Commission Baylaymont Building.

The ACT-SAF project is sponsored by the European Union to assist the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in developing feasibility studies on how to develop SAF in the selected 12 countries including, Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is a council Member of ICAO and has the largest Aviation Hub in Africa and this Program is expected to enhance the capacity to develop Ethiopia’s SAF.
