Ethiopia aims to become premier Mfg hub in automotive space: EIC

Addis Ababa, July 28, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia aims to become a premier manufacturing hub in the automotive space, said the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC).

This was stated during a meeting between Ethiopian Investment Commission senior leadership and Volkswagen senior management.

EIC Chief Commissioner Lelise Neme and Deputy Commissioner Daniel Teressa held a discussion with Volkswagen’s senior management in Africa and the German Ambassador to Ethiopia Stephan Auer.

It is stated that their discussion focused on investment reforms in the auto sector in Ethiopia.

The EIC leadership EIC underscored that Ethiopia aims to become a premier manufacturing hub in the automotive space and welcomes global players like Volkswagen to join in this growth journey.
