Ethiopia accords special attention to unique relations with Kuwait: DPM & FM Demeke

Addis Ababa, June 20, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia accords special attention to the unique relations with the State of Kuwait, said Demeke Mekonnen, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Ethiopia.

DPM & FM Demeke Mekonnen received at his office today Ambassador Bader Saleh Al Tunaib, Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister of African Affairs.

They deliberated on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia (MFA Ethiopia).

During the meeting, Demeke commended the development cooperation through the Kuwait Fund.

He also called on Kuwaiti businesses to invest in the fields of energy, logistics and agriculture.

Amb. Al Tunaib, on his part, expressed his country’s keen interest to bolster ties with Ethiopia.

It is stated that the two dignitaries also agreed to hold joint ministerial consultations.
