Ethio Telecom earns 56.5 Billion Birr revenue during concluded fiscal year

Addis Ababa, July 14, 2021 (FBC) – Ethio Telecom has announced that it has completed the 2020/2021 fiscal year with an outstanding accomplishment by earning 56.5 Billion Birr revenue.

According to the CEO Frehiwot Tamiru Ethio Telecom has achieved 101.7pct of the target as number of its subscriber base reached 56.2 showing 22% of an increase from June 2020.

Ethio- telecom has managed to improve customer experience and satisfaction by offering 34 new and 28 revamped local and international products and services.

“47.5% of the total revenue is Mobile voice accounts while data and internet contributes 27%, international business shares 11%, value added service accounts for 9.5% and the remaining 5% come from other sources.” Firehiwot said.

Some 166.5 million USD was generated from international businesses, showing an increase of 13 percent from the past fiscal year.
